What you'll need to get...

We do not expect you to buy everything in one go. If you can get the basic kit to start with we may be able to lend you other items for the first few events. If you are unsure about where to buy any item from or have any questions feel free to email us. We can usually let you know the best prices for most kit. Firstly you will need the basic kit:

Jump smock – (Type 3 Splinter B pattern)

Fliegerbluse – (2nd Pattern)

Helmet – ( M38 jump helmet)

M40 cap or M43 cap

Boots – (Repro 2nd pattern jump boots or ankle boots with gaiters)

Trousers – (Fallschirmhosen/Springerhosen)

Shirt – (Reproduction shirts are available from our suppliers)

Belt & buckle – (Leather or webbing belt with luftwaffe buckle)

Zeltbahn – (Splinter pattern originals are better, very important and useful part of your kit. Interesting site about them www.zeltbahn.net)

Bread bag – (Luftwaffe blue or field grey)

Water bottle

Mess tin

Bayonet & frog

Entrenching tool

Y-Straps – (Paratrooper type)

K98 ammunition bandoleer or ammo pouches

Pistol & holster – (All FJ ranks wore a side arm)

Soft gas mask bag or Gas mask canister
